the royal wedding of louis XIV

350 years ago, in 1660, in order to prepare for his marriage to the Infanta of Spain, the young Sun King abandoned his lady love and began a journey across the French provinces to reach Pheasant Island, on the Spanish border, where his marriage was to be held.

A splendid royal procession of thousands of people, this journey displayed all the audacity of a king of 22 years of age that was admired by the people: royal entrances, rampart attacks and princely ceremonies provide the inspiration for the virtuoso choreography of Groupe F.
